Each year, the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation organizes half a dozen or so adventure races. "What's an adventure race?" you ask. Well, it's an outdoor race in which teams or individuals compete in two or more legs of mountain biking, running, orienteering, or various forms of paddling. Each race is designed with the average athlete in mind. Prizes are awarded for multiple categories and each participant receives an honorary race t-shirt.
The Millpond Challenge is an individual or team race that includes mountain biking, kayaking, and trail running.
Kayaks will be provided, but you must bring your own mountain bike. Space is limited to the first 120 competitors, so please register in advance if you can.
