In addition to the many programs at Ashland Nature Center, visitors can explore four self-guided nature trails that wind through more than 80 acres of rolling terrain, including meadows, woodlands, and marshes. Information about the trails, as well as upcoming activities, can be obtained inside the main building.

Adjacent to the main building is the Butterfly House, which was renovated in 2010. See if you can spot the tiger swallowtail. That's Delaware's official State Butterfly.
