Two great features at Big Oak County Park are the Environmental Outpost operated by the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation and the 1.6-mile trail that includes a boardwalk through "riparian," or riverside, habitats. Other amenities include a picnic pavilion, space-themed playground, public restrooms and recreational fields.

Repeat visits are encouraged because all 90 acres continue to evolve over time. And it couldn't be easier. You can't miss seeing Big Oak County Park as you drive by Smynra on Route 1.
