Glasgow County Park may well be the crown jewel of New Castle County's park system. For one thing, it offers 250 acres -- more open space than many state parks can claim. This land is home to "Bear Mountain," a massive sledding hill that may be the biggest in all of Delaware. And a 2.7-mile, paved walkway loops around these and many other amenities. Those who haven't visited in years will marvel at $10 million worth of improvements made to the park. This includes construction of the Glasgow Regional Skate Park, which opened in March 2012.
