G&R Recreation Area & Campground offers about two dozen primitive campsites, in addition to cottages and numerous spots outfitted for recreational vehicles. It is located in Houston (pronounced "Huston," unlike that other town full of Texans) amid beautiful farmland and the headwaters of the Mispillion River.
Visit in June to enjoy the outdoor June Jam festival. This charity concert has featured southern and classic rock bands every summer since 1978.
During your stay, we recommend a side trip to Killen's Pond State Park or Abbott's Mill Nature Center, both of which are within a five-minute drive.
